Echinacea

This plant with the Latin name Echinacea purpurea is originally from North America and has several dozen forms, of which only a few are used. Modern medicine learned about the healing properties of this plant only at the end of the 19th century, when various medicinal tinctures, teas, powders and tablets were produced. It is very important for this plant that it is medicinal in its entirety, ie it is used both above and below ground. Echinacea contains a large amount of important acids, namely depsidic and phenolic carboxylic acids, as well as caffeic, chlorogenic acid, tartaric… In addition to the listed acids, it also contains esters of sugars, amides, etc. The effect of this plant on strengthening immunity in humans is known, while its consumption has a beneficial effect on a large number of inflammatory processes in the body.
